Welcome to Trackpit, a privacy-first UPI expense tracking application developed by Techbysh.
Trackpit helps users track and categorize expenses before completing UPI payments through their preferred payment applications.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App and the choices available to you regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
Trackpit is designed with privacy as a core principle and minimizes data collection.
Information Stored Locally
- Expense records and transaction details entered by you
- Expense categories and custom categories
- Notes attached to expenses
- Budget and spending limit settings
- Application preferences and settings
- Authentication preferences (PIN/Biometrics)
- Backup files generated by the user
Information We Do Not Collect
- Bank account information
- UPI PINs or passwords
- Credit or debit card details
- SMS messages
- Contact lists
- Email addresses
- Government-issued identifiers
- Location information
- Financial credentials
All expense and settings data remain on your device unless you explicitly export a backup.
2. Permissions Used
Camera Permission
Used to scan UPI QR codes and initiate payments through supported UPI applications. QR processing occurs locally on your device.
Biometric Authentication
Used to securely unlock the application using your device's biometric capabilities such as fingerprint or face authentication.
Notification Permission (Optional)
Used to send budget reminders, spending alerts, and user-enabled notifications.
Storage Access (Optional)
Used only when importing or exporting user-generated backup files.
3. UPI Payments
Trackpit does not process, store, or authorize payments.
When you choose to make a payment, payment details are passed directly to your selected UPI application.

All payment processing is handled by your chosen UPI provider and financial institution.
Trackpit does not store payment credentials, banking information, or transaction authorization data. The App only facilitates launching compatible UPI applications selected by the user.
Trackpit never receives access to:
- UPI PINs
- Bank account credentials
- Payment authorization details
- Account balances
4. Data Storage & Security
Trackpit follows an offline-first approach.
- Expense data is stored locally on your device.
- No central servers store your financial records.
- PIN and biometric protection can be enabled by users.
- Backups are created only when initiated by the user.
While reasonable security measures are implemented, users remain responsible for protecting access to their devices and backup files.
5. Analytics & Advertising
Trackpit does not use advertising or behavioral tracking systems.
- No advertisements
- No third-party analytics SDKs
- No user profiling
- No marketing trackers
- No sale of personal data
6. Backup & Restore
Users may export expense records as backup files for personal storage.
Backup files are stored only in locations selected by the user and are not uploaded to our servers.
Users are responsible for securing exported backup files.
7. Children's Privacy
Trackpit is not directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Third-Party Services
Trackpit may interact with third-party UPI applications solely for payment initiation purposes.
These services operate under their own privacy policies and terms of service.
We encourage users to review the privacy policies of any payment provider they choose to use.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect legal, technical, operational, or product-related changes.
Any updates will be reflected by revising the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of Trackpit after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
